Overview

## What clear & pressure wash covers in Manchester

### What the service is
Clear and Pressure Wash is a bundled service: we carry out the clearance first, then pressure wash the surface underneath it before we leave. Bin stores, yards, patios, driveways, communal paving, alleyways and paved gardens all benefit from it, because what is left after years under bags and bins is rarely something you would want to see. One crew, one visit, one price covering both stages.

### Who it's for
Landlords and letting agents turning a property around, managing agents and housing providers responsible for communal bin areas, commercial clients with yards and service areas, and homeowners who want a patio or driveway back to a usable colour after a clearance.

### When it's needed
Whenever the surface matters as much as the clutter: before a viewing or a check-in, ahead of photographs, after a bin store clearance where staining and residue are the real complaint, or at the end of a garden clearance where a patio has disappeared under moss and grime.

### Why professional help matters
Clearance alone reveals the problem rather than solving it. Bagged waste, bins and stored junk leave staining, moss, algae and residue that make a cleared area still look neglected, and moss on paving is a genuine slip hazard. Doing both together avoids paying twice for access and set-up, and the waste side is handled by an Environment Agency registered waste carrier with public liability insurance and waste transfer notes on request.

Leave it and it costs more

## What happens if it’s left
A cleared space that still looks filthy does not solve the thing you were actually being judged on.

- Communal bin areas cleared but not cleaned keep generating complaints, and the complaints come back to the managing agent.
- Moss and algae on paving are slippery in Manchester's wet months, and slips in communal areas are a liability question.
- Stained paving in listing photographs pulls down the perceived condition of the whole property.
- Organic residue under bins attracts pests, so the pest problem outlives the clearance.
- Bringing a cleaning contractor back separately means paying twice for the same access and set-up.
### Common mistakes we see

- Pressure washing before clearing, so the surface is dirty again as soon as the clearance happens.
- Assuming a jet wash alone will fix a bin store; the smell is usually the residue under what was removed.
- Washing waste and residue into drains rather than removing it first.
- Booking two firms weeks apart and paying two mobilisation charges for one small area.

Our process

## How the job runs, start to finish

- 1
### Call or send photos
Tell us the postcode and what needs shifting, or send a couple of photographs. We work out the volume and access from that: no waiting on a surveyor.

- 2
### Fixed price agreed
You get one clear figure before anything is booked, based on volume, weight and access. It does not change unless you add to the job.

- 3
### Time slot confirmed
We confirm a day and a time window, including evenings and weekends, and ring you before we set off so you are not waiting in.

- 4
### Cleared and swept
Our crew does all the carrying and loading, segregates timber and metal for recycling, and brushes the area through before we leave.

- 5
### Legally disposed, documented
The load goes to a licensed commercial waste facility. Pay by card, cash or transfer, and ask for a waste transfer note for your records.

What you get

## Why customers book clear & pressure wash with Fisher

### Both stages, one price

Clearance and pressure washing are quoted together as a single fixed figure agreed before we start, rather than as two separate jobs with two separate call-out costs.

### The right order

Everything comes out first, then the surface is washed. That is the only sequence that leaves a space genuinely clean rather than superficially tidy.

### Ideal for lettings and communal areas

Bin stores, entry paths and shared yards photograph and inspect far better washed, which is why agents and housing providers book the bundle rather than the clearance alone.

### Safer surfaces

Removing moss and algae takes the slip risk off communal paving and steps, which matters more in a wet Manchester winter than most people allow for.

### Legally disposed waste

The clearance side is handled as a registered waste carrier with recycling separated first, and a waste transfer note on request.

### Out-of-hours available

We work 7am to 10pm, seven days a week, so communal and commercial areas can be done when they are not in use.

In detail

## Clear & Pressure Wash in Manchester: the detail that matters

### Where the bundle works best
Any hard surface that has been under waste, bins or stored items long enough to change colour.

- Communal bin stores and bin chambers
- Rear yards, service areas and loading bays
- Patios, paved gardens and slabbed areas
- Driveways, paths and entry alleyways
- Garage floors and hardstanding after a clearance
- Steps and shared access routes

### How the visit runs
The crew clears first: everything is sorted, loaded and separated for recycling where possible, and the load goes on the van. The surface is then swept, washed down and worked over with the pressure washer, with attention paid to the edges and corners where residue collects. Loose debris lifted by the wash is collected rather than pushed into the nearest drain. You get the area back usable and dry within a short time in most weather.

### Domestic and commercial versions
Domestically this is normally a patio, driveway or paved garden after a house or garden clearance. Commercially it is bin stores, yards and service areas for landlords, agents and facilities teams, often on a repeat basis where the same area is dealt with on a schedule rather than reactively. Scheduled visits are quoted per visit and are usually cheaper than reactive call-outs.

### What pressure washing will and will not do
It removes moss, algae, dirt, general grime and most organic staining, and it makes a dramatic difference on paving and concrete. It will not remove deep oil penetration from concrete, will not repair spalled or broken slabs, and is not appropriate for soft or crumbling surfaces. We will tell you which of those you are dealing with before you pay for the upgrade rather than after.

Common questions

## Clear & Pressure Wash questions, answered straight
What is included in Clear and Pressure Wash?A full clearance of the area, legal disposal of the waste, and a pressure wash of the hard surface underneath, all in the same visit and under one agreed price.

How much does the pressure wash upgrade add?It depends on the area, the surface and how heavily soiled it is. It is always cheaper as part of the same visit than booking it separately, and the whole bundle is quoted as one figure before we start.

Can I book the pressure wash without the clearance? The bundle is built around doing both, because that sequence is what makes it worthwhile. Talk to us about what you need and we will tell you honestly whether the wash alone is sensible.

Do you need water and power on site?Tell us what is available when you enquire and we will confirm what we need before the visit, so there are no surprises on the day.

Will it damage my paving?Sound paving, concrete and flags handle pressure washing well. Where slabs are already spalled, loose or crumbling, we will point that out and adjust the approach rather than make the damage worse.

Do you do this for communal bin stores?Yes, and it is one of the most common uses of the bundle. Bin stores are cleared, washed down and left usable, with out-of-hours slots available so residents are not disrupted.

Is the waste disposed of legally?Yes. We are an Environment Agency registered waste carrier, recycling is separated first, and waste transfer notes are available on request.

How soon can you attend? We work 7am to 10pm, seven days a week, and same-day or next-day slots are often available for smaller areas.
